【摘要】:DeletesthecurrentSection4(Classification)andaddsanewinformativeappendixaddressingapplicationofthestandardinnewandexistingbuildings.ThecurrentSection4discussesthetwoproceduresfordeterminingdesignventilationrates,butcontainsnorequirementsandisthereforeinconsistentwithastandardincode-intendedlanguage.Thenewappendixattemptstoaddresstheissueofapplicationofthestandardinnewandexistingbuildings.Theappendixcontainsinformativeguidanceonwhenthestandardappliesinnewandexistingbuildings.Italsocontainsacode-languageversionoftheserequirementsthatcouldbeadopted,withorwithoutmodification,byjurisdictionsthatdonothaveabuildingcode.Earlierversionsofthisaddendumattemptedtomakethismaterialpartofthestandard(inSection4),butitwaspointedoutthatthiscouldcreateconflictswithbuildingcodesthatcontaintheirowncomplianceandenforcementsections.Thisstandardwaslistedforpublicreviewinthe7/30/1999issueofStandardsAction.Itisbeingresubmittedduetosubstantivechangestothetext.
